Ignoring Pessimism

Ever told anyone what you wanted to do; and they just laugh at what you said? It happens to me quite often unfortunately. But those people are the ones that set limitations on their own potential. If people in the world were more supportive of one another the world would be a much better place.  Arnold Schwarzenegger says it best, "Ignore the nay sayers!" If you believe the nay sayers you then start to lose confidence in what could've been great.  Many great people emerged from the shadows of disbelief's. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, because they told him he wasn't good enough. Tom Brady was drafted in the seventh round, because he wasn't the biggest, the strongest, or the fastest to play the quarterback position. Thomas Edison was told he was too stupid to do anything. Walt Disney was told he had no imagination. The list goes on, but none of these extraordinary men let other people words stop them from succeeding. The words of a pessimist should only add fuel to your desire for success. Never let anyone limit your potential to be great.

A pessimist sees only the dark side of the clouds, and mopes; a philosopher sees both sides, and shrugs; an optimist doesn’t see the clouds at all – he’s walking on them. --Leonard Louis Levinson

  1. This is so true. If only more of us would encourage each other rather then handicap others dreams. We only cripple ourselves and potentials. Inspire on Ktoan.

  2. Thanks for posting this Ktoan. I needed a little boost of inspiration this morning. You are definitely right, if we all were more supportive of others the world would be a better place. We shouldn't let others' doubts and pessimism bring us down. Rather, we should be encouraging to those around us. A simple word of kindness can have a hugh impact. I love this line "...an optimist doesn’t see the clouds at all – he’s walking on them. This is definitely my quote for the day!
