Taking Action

"The difference between a dream and a goal, is a plan"

Everything that an individual possesses, no matter if it's big or small, is the result of the action that took place in order to obtain it. An idea is only an imagination that exists in the mind, until action is part of the equation. Then something magnificent takes place in the process. It becomes tangible. Almost magically, we have altered our imagination into reality. With this said, the ability to take action far exceeds knowledge and raw talent alone.

Nike says it best, "Just Do It". Anyone that is a professional anything will admit they didn't get to where they are just by sitting on the couch. They practice everyday if they're an athlete. They read everyday if they're a leader. They rehearse everyday if they're an entertainer. They study everyday if they're an outstanding student. All they did was take the initiative of knowing what they want and act  upon it. Everyday people live their lives by the decisions they make. In a perfect world the right decisions are always made. But we all know that is never the case. So make sure the choices being made now are the ones to be proud of later. Keep in mind that in order to have satisfaction we are obligated to take action. The best time to take action was years ago, but luckily life works in our favor and gives us a second best time, which is right now.

Here is a jump start to getting what you want.

1.) Ask yourself.
 What do I want?
How do I plan to get it?

2.) Write down: Make it Tangible and Visualize it.

3.) Act on it.

"I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do." -- Leonardo Da Vinci

"Days are expensive. When you spend a day you have one less day to spend. So make sure you spend each one wisely." -- Jim Rohn

Power of Optimism

Statistics and research have proven that optimistic people live longer than pessimistic people. Being an optimist not only affects the person but also the people surrounding the person. Due to its contagious nature it encourages everyone to be healthier, live life with less stress, and build better relationships. Most people do not realize this, but many times life actually works in their favor. It is always a question of how we handle the situation when it manifest itself.

Jim Carrey is one of the most well-known and well paid comedic actors. He is also one of the most optimistic person around, in an interview with Oprah he says "Most people live trapped in the movement of thought".  According to Success magazine, Jim Carrey wrote himself a check with a future amount and date for when he was going to make it big. With his head held high, he actually surpassed the amount and in almost the same amount of time dated on his check. This was made possible through the power of optimism.

Instead of dwelling on bad experiences and having the belief that the world is out to get us, we should focus more of our energy on the great experiences and how we can learn from the bad, so our future can be better. My challenge to everyone is try to look at the world like its out to help rather than to harm.

"Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant." -Robert Louis Stevenson

Ignoring Pessimism

Ever told anyone what you wanted to do; and they just laugh at what you said? It happens to me quite often unfortunately. But those people are the ones that set limitations on their own potential. If people in the world were more supportive of one another the world would be a much better place.  Arnold Schwarzenegger says it best, "Ignore the nay sayers!" If you believe the nay sayers you then start to lose confidence in what could've been great.  Many great people emerged from the shadows of disbelief's. Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, because they told him he wasn't good enough. Tom Brady was drafted in the seventh round, because he wasn't the biggest, the strongest, or the fastest to play the quarterback position. Thomas Edison was told he was too stupid to do anything. Walt Disney was told he had no imagination. The list goes on, but none of these extraordinary men let other people words stop them from succeeding. The words of a pessimist should only add fuel to your desire for success. Never let anyone limit your potential to be great.

A pessimist sees only the dark side of the clouds, and mopes; a philosopher sees both sides, and shrugs; an optimist doesn’t see the clouds at all – he’s walking on them. --Leonard Louis Levinson

Hello world! As my first blog, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Ktoan. I love talking to people that love success and knows exactly what their future plans are no matter what their race, gender, age, and educational experiences are. Hearing motivated people talk inspires me to become the best person that I can be. My philosophy that I like to stay by is   “Anything is possible if you have the DRIVE!”. My goal, through this page is to hopefully encourage anyone that feels like they need a little motivation to accomplish whatever hurdle they are faced with or for individuals to express what they feel at any time. - Lets motivate the world one person at a time.
